Another great film of James Cameron which has nothing to do with the other films he directed. If you have the chance to watch it in 3D do it and you won’t regret the cost of the ticket, the action seems to go out of the screen!.
A touching story about a fantastic civilization (the Na’vi) living in a distant world, menaced by humans who would destroy everything to get unobtanium, a precious mineral. They have created Avatars (hybrids half human half Na’vi) to reach Hometree where the mineral is found. The main character is involved in a expedition to get this mineral, but a crucial incident will turn things upside down.
The audiovisual effects mixed with a touching story won’t leave you indifferent. James Horner soundtrack fits well in the film, although it is a little bit Disney-like. Its impact in cinemas could change the way the films are made nowadays.
